I. TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING THE TATA AIG GIANT STEPS PARTNER RECOGNITION PROGRAM
- For the purpose of the Terms and Conditions, the following terms shall have the meaning assigned to it
- ‘Awards’ are the gifts, awards or benefits offered by TATA AIG from time to time at its sole discretion, to Members of the Giant Steps Program against redemption of Giant Steps Points earned by the Members.
- ‘Bonus Points’ mean bonus points, which will be credited to the Members. These may be occasion specific bonuses or variable bonuses as specified by TATA AIG for a specific scheme/occasion.
- ‘Producers’ are agencies or individuals appointed by TATA AIG to solicit customers for availing General Insurance from TATA AIG.
- ‘Giant Steps Program’ means the channel loyalty program offered by TATA AIG, aimed at Producers of TATA AIG who are engaged in soliciting customers for availing General Insurance from TATA AIG.
- ‘Giant Steps Program Help Desk’ means the service center for resolving members’ queries in connection with or related to Giant Steps Program.
- ‘TATA AIG’ means TATA AIG General Insurance Company Limited or its successors or assigns.
- ‘Member’ means the Producer enrolled under ‘Giant Steps Program’.
- ‘Retro credit’ means facilitating the credit of points to Members based on booked premiums shown to have been booked but not accounted for in the points statement.
- ‘Base Points’ or ‘Award Points’ or ‘Giant Steps Points’ means the points earned by a member of Giant Steps Program for the GPW booked by the Member.
II. STATUS AND BENEFITS:
- Member status and benefits of the Giant Steps Program are offered at the sole discretion of TATA AIG.
- An authorized Producer who meets the membership qualifying criteria as specified by TATA AIG from time to time shall be eligible for being enrolled as a Member. These qualifying criteria at present are:
a. 6 months average GPW of Rs. 50,000 or more affected by TATA AIG due to the efforts of the Producer.
- TATA AIG may reject the applications made to Giant Steps Program Membership if the applicant does not satisfy the eligibility criteria as specified by TATA AIG from time to time.
- All Members who are enrolled into the Giant Steps Program by TATA AIG are entitled to earn Giant Steps Points, which can be redeemed for Awards that will be sent to members shortly in accordance with the Terms and Conditions herein set forth or as per specific schemes that may be established pursuant to the Giant Steps Program.
- All awards related communication to the Member would be mailed to the mailing address as currently existing in the database of TATA AIG or as specified in the solicitation form.
- All communication will be deemed to have been received by the Member within four days from dispatch of the communication. All communication by the Member to TATA AIG shall be deemed to have been received on actual receipt. TATA AIG shall have no liability or responsibility for communication not received or which may have not been delivered for any reason whatsoever.
- TATA AIG reserves the right to terminate the Giant Steps Program or Membership of any Member at any time without assigning any reason or giving prior notice. Accrual of Giant Steps Points will cease immediately on termination of the Giant Steps Program or membership, as applicable. Members will, however, have a period of 3 months from the date of the termination of the Giant Steps Program, to redeem their Giant Steps Points for Award/s, as applicable, in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Program.
- TATA AIG reserves the rights to add, modify, delete or otherwise change any of the terms, conditions, benefits, Awards or Award level pertaining to the Giant Steps Program at its sole discretion, with or without notice, even though changes may affect the value of Giant
Steps Points already accumulated.
- TATA AIG reserves the right to discontinue benefits offered under the Giant Steps Program to any Member who in the opinion of TATA AIG is using the Giant Steps Program in a manner inconsistent with the terms and conditions or intent of the Giant Steps Program or any portion of the Giant Steps Program, including, but not limited to, Award redemption. TATA AIG also reserves the right to discontinue the benefits for any Member who acts in a manner inconsistent with local or state laws, statutes or ordinances.
- Giant Steps Points issued have no monetary value and cannot be sold or transferred by Members in any manner at any point of time or be redeemed for cash. These Giant Steps Points may only be exchanged for Awards or benefits on offer through the Giant Steps Program. Any
Giant Steps Points, or benefits, which in the opinion of TATA AIG have been transferred, sold, or assigned in violation of Giant Steps Program rules shall be confiscated or cancelled. The decision of TATA AIG in this regard shall be final and binding on the Members of Giant Steps Program.
- Each Member is responsible for remaining knowledgeable as to the Giant Steps Program rules and as to the number of Giant Steps Points in his or her account. TATA AIG will send correspondence to Members to advice on matters of interest, including notification of Giant Steps
Program changes and Giant Steps Points update at periodic intervals.
- TATA AIG is not responsible, and assumes no liability, for changes or discontinuance of Service Partners and Giant Steps Program Awards offered or the accrual of Giant Steps Points.
- Nothing in the Giant Steps Program rules is intended or shall be construed to create or establish any agency, partnership, joint venture or employer - employee relationship between TATA AIG and the Service Partners or between TATA AIG and the Members.
- The laws of India govern terms and conditions of the Giant Steps Program and all claims/disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of court/tribunals at Mumbai.
III. ACCRUAL OF GIANT STEPS POINTS:
To earn Giant Steps Points, a Member must meet all the conditions described in the Giant Steps Program.
Terms & Conditions
- The Giant Steps Points earned by Members are valid till the Members continue to be the Producers for TATA AIG and satisfy the eligibility criteria. In case of termination of Membership of any Member, for whatever reason, all Giant Steps Points shall lapse/expire.
- No purchase/sale/transfer of Giant Steps Points is permitted. A Member cannot sell/purchase Giant Steps Points and add to Giant Steps Points already earned in order to redeem these Giant Steps Points for an Award. The Member can only earn Giant Steps Points as specified in terms and conditions of the Giant Steps Program or as per the scheme offered under the Giant Steps Program.
- All Members will on a monthly basis (or at such other periodicity as TATA AIG may specify) receive a statement containing the Giant Steps Points accrued/available. Such statements may be made available by email/post or at a specified website
IV Terms and Conditions for Redemption of Rewards
- Catalogue valid only till March 2008.
- Images and colours shown in the Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Catalogue are only indicative.
- Platinum members can redeem at any time of the year. Gold and Silver members can redeem once a year in December.
- Tata AIG will take a minimum of 6 - 8 weeks to process the rewards. Tata AIG will endeavour to keep the member informed of any delay, if arising.
- All taxes as applicable and incidental expenditures in connection with the Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards will be borne by the member.
- Tata AIG will not have any liability towards any taxes or other expenditures or the like which may apply to the Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards hereunder.
- All Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards are subject to availability and supply restrictions. Tata AIG may without notice, withdraw or substitute any reward for another reward of similar brand (whether or not of comparable value and nature). In the case of the exact model of merchandise mentioned in the Rewards Galaxy Catalogue not being available at the time of redemption, Tata AIG will offer an alternate model/brand of the merchandise to the member.
- Tata AIG, at its sole discretion, may replace or add any Service Partner at any point of time.
- Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards as redeemed upon commencement of their being processed, will not be changed and the member will not be entitled to any refund or credit or exchange for the Giant Steps Points / reward redeemed.
- The Rewards Galaxy Rewards as redeemed cannot be exchanged for cash, Giant Steps Points or any other form of goods or services except for the Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards displayed in the Rewards Catalogue.
- Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Redemption Request Form is only valid for Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards as indicated in the Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards section in the Welcome Kit.
- Members shall take open delivery of Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards from the courier or outlet, as indicated/informed to the members. Members are requested not to accept damaged Rewards. In case of voucher redemption members to ensure that they receive/accept the envelope without the seal being broken or tampered with. Also, the voucher will have a Redbox branded tape on the envelope. Please do not accept any voucher which does not have the Redbox tape. Tata AIG shall not entertain any complaints post acknowledgement/delivery/acceptance of Rewards Galaxy Rewards by the members.
- In respect of specific Service Providers / types of Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards the members may note the following.
- Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards as redeemed for consumer durables will require the following to be done by
the member: Members may receive award directly or as voucher which they would have to redeem at the durable brand's nearest branch office. Members would need to call at the branch office at the contact details given and co-ordinate for the delivery of the product to his place. Members to visit the branch office personally at an agreed time along with their voucher and photo identity. Consumer Durables shown in the Easy Living section, could be LG or similar brand.
- For redemption of Hewlett Packard merchandise, member must take an open delivery before signing the POD. If the product is received in damaged condition, members must return the same. In case the product is damaged at arrival, the member has to take it to the Hewlett Packard service centre within 14 days of receipt to get it replaced.
- For redemption of Wipro PC, after the PC has been delivered to the member, the member needs to call up the Toll-Free number to co-ordinate for the installation of PC. The Toll-Free number will be given to member along with the PC.
- For Kinetic merchandise, members will have to personally visit the specified Kinetic dealer showroom along with their award authorization letter and photo ID which will be mailed to them, and with proof of their photo identity, to redeem the award. Points mentioned are valid for ex-showroom prices. Members will have to bear the cost of Octroi, Registration, insurance and RTO formality and accessories, if any as well as petrol and oil charges as applicable.
- For 4-wheelers, the prices may fluctuate, thus affecting the Giant Steps Points needed for redemption. Hence members to call and check the points at the time of redemption. For Tata Motors and Maruti merchandise (Cars), members will have to personally visit the specified dealer showroom along with their award authorization letter, which will be mailed to them, and with proof of their photo identity, to redeem the award. Points mentioned are valid for ex-showroom prices. Members will have to bear the cost of Octroi, Registration, insurance and RTO formality and accessories, if any as well as petrol and oil charges as applicable.
- Tata AIG Rewards Galaxy Rewards as redeemed for Travel Packages
- Domestic and International Holidays:
- All packages are for two people traveling together on a twin sharing basis
- Member to co-ordinate travel plans directly with the travel agent whose contact details will be provided in the award authorization letter provided to the Member.
- All accommodations at the specified locations/hotels as well as in other bookings are strictly subject to availability.
- Rates not valid during Diwali, Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and Easter and any other promotional package at the destination e.g. Dubai Shopping festival.
- No cancellations or refunds will be entertained; credit for cancelled trips will not be provided/permitted.
- Domestic Holdiays:
- Members will have to make their own travel arrangements to the destination specified at their own cost.
- International Holidays:
- All domestic travel from/to the town/city in which the member resides to the airport of departure/arrival to be
borne by member.
- Obtaining and issuance of passports and visas is the sole responsibility of the member.
- POE if required, extra and to be borne by the member
- Visas are subject to the discretion of the issuing authority and Tata AIG/travel partner shall not be held responsible for refusal and/or delay in processing of documents and entries to/from the countries visited.
- Members are recommended to take travel and medical insurance. Any loss or accident or the like that may occur during the travel period will not be the responsibility of Tata AIG/travel partner
- Losses and/or additional expenditures due to cancellation, postponement of flights, changes in laws, rules, regulations and/or guidelines on international travel, extension of package are not the responsibility of Tata AIG/ travel partner.
- No escort from the travel partner shall accompany the member
- All sightseeing are on guided tours in English and are on Seat in Coach basis.
- Services included:
Return economy class airfare India and back, Airport taxes, Visas for Australia, Accomodation on a twin share basis, Return Airport transfers, Select sightseeing.
- Services not included:
Beverages, laundry, telephone call charges, mini bar, portage and expenses of personal nature, Medical/travel insurance, Immigration Clearance of Rs. 1000 per person approximate, Departure tax, Entrance fees (for sightseeing unless specified), early check-in and late check-out , amount allowed by RBI, Any other factors beyond the control of Tata AIG/ Travel Partner, Items not mentioned above
- General Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions:
- Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or for vouchers of smaller denomination
- Vouchers cannot be refunded
- Voucher is valid for a one time purchase only. No cash will be refunded if merchandise purchased is less than the amount specified on the voucher
- Voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any promotion or scheme at the store unless specified otherwise
on the voucher.
- Requests for duplicate vouchers and extensions will not be accepted
- Holder of the voucher is deemed to be the beneficiary
- a. adidas Vouchers:
- This gift voucher can be redeemed only at the mentioned stores
- This coupon is not valid on Taylor Made and adidas core products including Sunglasses, Watches and Personal Products.
- This voucher has to be presented to store in original. No photocopy/reproduction of this voucher will be accepted.
b. Shoppers' Stop Vouchers:
- Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
- Not valid on purchase of Mobile phones & Mobile phone accessories,
- Not valid on purchase from Facet Jewellery and Gold Coins of any jewellery brand.
- Valid at all outlets of Shopper's Stop, Home Stop, Mothercare and Crossword (Company Owned Stores only).
- Not valid on purchases at the Food Café court.
- Shoppers' Stop Gift Vouchers cannot be used to buy any other voucher.
c. Durian Vouchers:
- The vouchers are redeemable only on Home Furniture and not furnishings.
- Members will have to inform Durian's sales representative in advance that he plans to redeem a voucher.
- The offer cannot be clubbed with any sale or promotion at any of Durian showroom.
d. Wills Lifestyle:
- The vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
- Can only be redeemed at Exclusive Wills Lifestyle stores.
e. Pantaloon Trendsetter:
- The voucher can be exchanged only for all apparel products at all Pantaloon stores across India.
- Voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue.
- This voucher is not valid at shop-in-shop.

- Antara: The Pricing for the Jewellery is valid till Dec 31st 2007. A seperate list of points would be communicated in December. Members in the following states have to provide forms to Antara for their delivery: Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajastan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
- Tanishq: Not valid on gold coins. Valid for six months from the date of issue.
- For watches, designs are changeable. Depending on availability, similar models will be made available.
- The Giant Steps Points for Sony products may change subject to availability & prices at that time. Members to find out availability and prices through the help desk.
